RESIDENTS CARE
Areyeng is situated on a small holding, in Tedderfield, Eikenhoff, founded by the Mare/Grobler family, Areyeng has been providing care to our forty residents with a team of care workers for the past 22 years.
Regardless of all the challenges the Mare/Grobler family had to face to ensure the sustainability of this facility, Areyeng provides a haven to the most vulnerable of mentally ill patients who in most cases do not have relatives to ensure financial support to such persons.
The residence relies on Government funding as well as some contributions from the small number of family members who can provide support for their loved ones.
The Department of Health approached the family in 2004 and requested they license the facility as an NPO to legally provide support and accommodation to the residents.
